Our Little Blessings!

What can I say...these little children are truly a blessing to Cedric and I. I honestly can't imagine what our life would be like without them. They keep us VERY busy, and sometimes overwhelmed, but I wouldn't change it for the world! Sometimes I take for granted just how much joy they bring to my life! Thank you GOD for blessing us with these precious children!

How Do You Handle It?

With all the stresses of life swarming around my day to day adventures I often wonder to myself ,"How in the world am I going to handle ALL of this?" I have yet to find the answer to this question. In fact, I have come to realize that there really is no one answer to this infamous question. I think every woman has to find her own way of handling difficult, and at times, stressful situations. Children, spouses, careers, maintaining a household, and friends are a lot for one person to juggle. Yet, these are all things that moms today are expected to do. Not just do, but do WELL! Some people resort to drugs or alcohol to handle this day to day grind. Others choose a more healthier route and exercise, or meditate.

Well my friends, I am on a quest to find my way. I want to discover my way of handling the stresses that continuously consumer my everyday life. I want to find a way to balance all of my responsibilities and still walk away with a smile on my face. I'm tired of letting the stresses bring me down. I want to live freely and happily with no regrets, and I will do everything in my power to make that happen!

So...with that being said, I'm off to find my own way of dealing with life's stress!

The Value of TRUE Friends!

I often forget how special it feels to have friends that are supportive, inspiring, beautiful, educated, caring, dependable, giving, forgiving, and hilarious! The hustle and bustle of my life has, at times, kept me less connected with my friends. However, yesterday proved that although we don't get to see one another as often as we like, once we do get together we have SO much fun!

I love my friends! They have been there for me when times were good, and when times were bad. As we get older I find that our bonds grow stronger. I will continue to celebrate their achievements and be there for them whenever they need me. I am learning that the value of TRUE friends is priceless! You can't buy what my friends and I have. You can't even fake what we have! It is special, and I thank God that he has allowed me to be a part of their life journey! I also pray that as my son and daughter grow older they will find friends that possess the same qualities that mine have!

The End is Near!

This is my first post, and honestly I am a little nervous about starting my blogging adventure. I have been  following tons of fabulous blogs for awhile and decided it was time to jump on board and join the movement! :)

I am thrilled to announce that there are only TWO more days until summer break. Did you hear me...I said TWO more days! I am SO excited! Don't get me wrong I will miss my student's, but this year has been extremely challenging. I need a break! Next year I am switching from 4th to 2nd Grade and I could not be more excited! Something new to start my fifth year of teaching! YAY! I am looking forward to learning new ideas, tips, and/or strategies from my fellow bloggers!
